Max James Aldridge, born in England in 1942, son of a RAF pilot who died before Max was born while flying over London in the second world war.

Max grew up knowing his father as a war legend and after graduating in Law, he followed in his footsteps by taking up sky diving. In 1974 he moved to Perugia, Italy where he currently lives and works as a freelance correspondent for British and American newspapers, gives pilot and sky diving lessons and is a translator for various important publishers.

After a two year long pause in his work (following a sky diving accident) he started writing his first novels: “The Profecy” (1990/91) in which he wrote about subjects that became internationally famous ten years later. “Osman the Wizard” (1993/94) a short story based on the classic novel, The Thou
